Camp Objectives
- Bring new ideas to athletes preparing to improve and excel in sprint racing
- Develop an understanding of the complexity of the event – from technique to tactics
- Introduce proper muscle recruitment and motor control development through monitored functional strength training

Thursday August 12th
- 9:00am – Check in
- 9:30am – Group sorting/roller ski – Z1 – 1.5hrs
- 11:00am – Video in groups
- 12:00pm – Lunch – Canmore Nordic Centre Day lodge
- 1:00_2:30 – rest and relaxation
- 2:30_3pm – Video review of basics
- 3:00pm – Technique basics -
Group 1 Skate
Group 2 Classic
- 4:30pm – Video in groups
- 5:00pm – Session ends
- 7:00pm – Peter on Tactics
Friday Aug 13th
- 9:30am Roller ski – Starts and Finishes, ski walking cool_down
- 12:00pm – Lunch – Canmore Nordic Centre Day lodge
- 1:00_2:30pm – rest and relaxation
- 3:00pm – Skate – cornering and agility technique
- 4:30pm – Video in groups
- 6:30pm – Dinner at Flatbread Company (optional)
- 8:00pm – Baseball Game – AST vs. AST Alumni (Lions Park)
Saturday Aug 14th
- 9:30am – Group 1 Technique training for sprinting Skate
Group 2 Strength training Developing explosiveness/warming up properly
- 11:00am – Group 1 – Video review
Group 2 – Stretching and Muscle Recruitment Exercises
- 12:00pm – Lunch – Canmore Nordic Centre Day lodge
- 1:00_2:30pm – rest and relaxation
- 3:00pm _ Group 2 Technique training for sprinting

Meals and Accommodation
- Lunch will be provided daily at the camp. Athletes will be responsible for all other meals and snacks.
- Accommodations will be the responsibility of the athlete. Billeting can be found for out of town athletes, please contact Christine Hicks if required.
Equipment
- All essential dryland equipment will be required: Rollerskis (skate, classic), poles (skate, classic, walking), boots, helmet
- Other important equipment: clothing for any and all weather (including changes of clothing for between sessions), drinkbelt, heart-°©_rate monitor, sport drink, notebook and pen
