FIS would like to thank all the participants for joining the global celebration and all the organizers for their fantastic work and impressive efforts in staging a great number of events. FIS would also like to thank its media partners Eurosport, The European Broadcasting Union and Infront Sports & Media for their invaluable assistance with promoting the initiative and the World Snow Day partners Intersport, Milka and the Best of The Alps for their contributions to the World Snow Day events.

FIS looks forward to celebrating an even bigger and more exciting 2nd World Snow Day in January 2013.
World Snow Day 2012 was the first event conducted on a global scale to celebrate snow sports as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and to foster global awareness of the importance of nurturing the natural environment. Countries that participated in the inaugural World Snow Day included Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.
