2008 Squamish Life Canadian Biathlon Championships at Whistler Olympic Park

March 21 (Squamish, BC) – The Callaghan Local Organizing Committee (CALOC) is pleased to host the 2008 Squamish Life Canadian Biathlon Championships March 25-30 at Whistler Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley. Approximately 170 biathletes will compete at the most prestigious biathlon event in Canada, including top Canadians Zina Kocher, Sandra Keith and JP LeGuellec, plus top biathletes from the USA. This will be the first opportunity to watch world-class athletes test their mettle on the new Olympic biathlon courses and range.

Competition Schedule

Tuesday, March 25 – Unofficial Training
9:00am–1:00pm: Unofficial Training- range, courses open BT Stadium

Wednesday, March 26 – Official Training
9:00am–12:00pm: Official Training- Course and Range AM Classes BT Stadium
1:00pm–3:00pm: Official Training- Course and Range PM Classes BT Stadium

Thursday, March 27 – Individual Competitions
9:00am–9:45am: Zero-AM Classes Range
9:50am: Opening Ceremony BT Stadium
10:00am: Start Individual Competition BT Stadium
12:00pm–12:45pm: Zero-PM Classes Range
1:00pm: Start Individual Competition BT Stadium
