February 22, 2009 (Pyeong Chang, Korea) – The North American’s struggled on the shooting range Sunday in the men’s 4×7.5km team relay with Canada missing 15 shots and the USA 19. It was perhaps most disappointing for the USA after having posted a 5th place result at the Rupholding World Cup leading into the 2009 Biathlon Worlds in Pyeong Chang, Korea. In the end Canada (Robin Clegg, Scott Perras, Brendan Green, Jean Philippe Leguellec) was 16th and the USA (Lowell Bailey, Time Burke, Jeremy Teela, Russell Currier) 21st.

It was no surprise to see the Norwegians take the win in today’s relay after placing four skiers in the top four in the first race of the championships and then four in the top six on the second day. However Austria kept it close outshooting the Norwegians 7 to 11 for misses. The Norwegian team won by 12.6 seconds over Austria and 32.7 seconds over third place Germany.
