2009 US National Snowshoe Championships – Results

March 17, 2009 (Mount Hood, Oregon) -Nearly one hundred and fifty athletes from twenty different U.S. States and Canada converged on Mount Hood in Oregon to tackle the U.S. Snowshoe Association’s Ninth Annual PowerSox U.S. National Snowshoe Championships on March 8th. The Junior athletes, 19 years of age and younger, competed over a 5km course. While the Senior athletes, 20 years of age and older, tackled a demanding 10km course. After qualifying at any of twenty-one regional qualifying events conducted across the Country throughout the winter of 2008-2009, these winter endurance athletes travelled to the Portland OR area to compete for berths on the U.S. National Snowshoe Team, age group medals, personal records and a great late winter vacation!
