release by FIS
September 18, 2008 (Olso, Norway) – The autumn coordination group meeting with the organizing committee, FIS, and the television and marketing rights holders, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), for the 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo (Nor) took place on Monday, September 15. In addition to productive working-group discussions, the participants went outside to view the construction work that has now begun at Holmenkollen.

On the administrative side, the organizing committee team is developing and is focusing on establishing the working practices and responsibilities of the different roles. Oslo 2011’s modern new brand and logo was also presented with the implementation concepts. At the competition site, the legendary Holmenkollen arena, the work has now begun. The K95 normal hill at Midtstuen is the most visible development with the ground work well underway. The time schedule foresees the completion of the competition facilities in good time for the test events, the traditional FIS Nordic World Cup weekend in early March 2010.
