June 12, 2012 (Hayward, Wisconsin) – The 2013 Birkie is turning out to be another record year. After opening registration on April 16, there are now 2,900 skiers registered for the Birkie Skate 50K and Classic 54K races, the Kortelopet 23K, and the Haakon 12K. As we announced when registration opened on April 16, the total cap for these events this year is 10,000 participants.
