January 29, 2016 (Cheile Gradistei, Romania) – Day 3 of the 2016 IBU Youth/Junior Worlds saw Teo Sanchez (CAN) once again lead the North Americans in 17th place in the Youth Men’s 7.5km Sprint. Russia’s Igor Malinovskii (RUS) sped to gold in a time of 20:32.9, while Norway’s Endre Stroemsheim (NOR) trailed by 26.3s for silver. Viacheslav Maleev (RUS) picked up the bronze medal. Brendan Cyr (USA) posted the top USA result in 46th.

Nadia Moser (CAN) was the top Canadian finisher in 19th as Norway’s Karoline Erdal (NOR) earned gold in the 6km women’s competition, besting fellow countrywoman Emilie Aagheim Kalkenberg (NOR) by 28.5s. Anna Kryvonos (UKR) took the bronze medal. Amanda Kautzer led Team USA in 52nd.
