July 14, 2018 (Red Deer, Alberta) – Thanks to a $100,000 donation by Peavey Mart, a farm and ranch retail chain in Western Canada, the River Bend Golf and Recreation Area based in Red Deer, Alberta and host to the biathlon, cross-country and para-nordic skiing events during the 2019 Canada Winter Games, will receive a serious lighting upgrade on four kilometres of cross-country ski trails reports the Red Deer Advocate. Peavey Mart CEO Doug Anderson and his family ski regularly at River Bend, the firm’s donation will provide a lasting legacy for the community.
