How Far Can You Go?

release by the Equinox Ski Challenge

November 26, 2007 (West Yellowstone, MT) – The 2nd annual Equinox Ski Challenge is a 24 Hour Nordic ski race to be held on March 22nd and 23rd at the Rendezvous Ski Trails in West Yellowstone, MT. There will be a 6 Hour and 12 Hour divisions in conjunction with the headlining 24 Hour race. All categories are open to both relay teams and soloists.

An aspect of this event that is equally important to challenging the participants is supporting local organizations that are keeping our communities mentally and physically healthy. The Equinox Ski Challenge will do so by raising funds for the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation, a ski advocacy group, and for Manaia Youth Programs, a youth leadership and empowerment program serving Gallatin and Park counties in Montana. Participants are encouraged to bring food donations for the West Yellowstone Food Bank. Those donating food will be entered into a special raffle.

The festivities will include a costume contest to be judged at the start of the race, a potluck on Saturday evening, and an all night bonfire near the start/finish line. Complete details and registration forms are available at www.equinoxskichallenge.com. Volunteers are warmly welcomed as well.
