November 03, 2018 (Edmonton, Alberta) – To celebrate the 30th anniversary the first 100 people to sign up for the Canadian Birkie Ski Festival Feb. 8-10, in the 13 km, 31 km or 55 km ski events will receive official Canadian Birkie mittens, size large. These red, white and black mittens have a $15 retail value.

The Canadian Birkie is a three-day festival and celebration of classic-style cross-country skiing and Nordic Legends. The Birkie is Western Canada’s Premier Nordic Ski Event and one of only three Birkebeiner Loppets in the world – Norway and the USA host the other two. Formed in 1985, the Birkie continues the tradition of honouring perseverance, courage and fortitude…as well as lots of Nordic Fun for the whole family!
