January 19, 2012 – After seven events in the Haywood NorAm Series the standings are tight in both men’s and women’s categories leading into Haywood NorAm Western Canadian Championships in Canmore Jan. 20-21 – see schedule change HERE.
Brent McMurtry holds a small lead over Kevin Sandau. Kevin comes into the weekend with three wins and Brent notched his first victory of the season on Sunday in Whistler.
Alysson Marshall holds a lead over Jessie Diggins (USA) and Emily Nishikawa.
Racers are also competing for the FIS Regional Series. The leader after Haywood NorAm Western Canadian Championships earns a quota spot to the next World Cup period. The FIS Regional Series counts the best six races of the season.
