June 04, 2012 (Toronto, ON) – Welcome once again to the SkiTrax Annual North American (NA) Nordic Ski Awards honouring top skiers from across Canada and the USA for the 2011-2012 season determined by votes from readers at skitrax.com.
Sorry we’re bit late but it took longer to tally up the number of medals earned by NA skiers this past season. Would you believe 45 medals vs 15 podiums last year and w/o a World Championships this past season. Not to mention the incredible top-end results by Kikkan Randall, Devon Kershaw, Sarah Hendrickson and others… selections in some categories are going be tough.
These awards recognize elite, U23 and junior skiers, along with Conti Cup, collegiate, biathlon, Nordic combined, jumping competitors and Paranordic skiers. New this year is individual recognition of both men and women at the top so now there’s a Best Overall Elite Male Skier and a Best Overall Elite Female Skier.
Once again we expect a close battle in the Paul Robbins Best Breakthrough or Exceptional Nordic Performance(s) Male or Female as there are many great names on the list this year… what a season – our good friend Paul would be uber proud.
In total there are 17 categories for men and women so take your time and make your voice heard.
Plus there are some great prizes as all entrants are eligible to win one of five great prizes provided by Rossi, One Way, Rottefella, Auclair and Buff Headware. Please include your email address [at the bottom] after submitting your selections if you wish to be eligible to win any prizes.
