February 10, 2013 (Edmonton, Alberta) – Brian McKeever was the fastest male finisher in the 55k M Lite 30-39 division in 3:19:37.7 at the Canadian Birkebeiner Ski Festival celebrating its 25th anniversary while Heidi Widmer was lead the women’s field in the 55k F Lite 20-29 division with the 5th best time overall. Conditions in Blackfoot Recreation Area featured fresh snow, -10 degrees under overcast skies with strong winds gusting.
