Middlebury Rolls Out the Carpet for the 2013 NCAA Championships

March 05, 2013 (Middlebury, VT) – Hosted by Vermont’s Middlebury College, the 2013 NCAA Skiing Championships, are set to commence in less than 24 hours as all teams have arrived. The championships include both Alpine and Nordic cross-country skiing for men and women. The Alpine events will be held at the Middlebury Snow Ball, while the Nordic events will be contested at the famed Rikert Nordic Center, which now includes a state of the art snowmaking system.

Middlebury, a longtime collegiate skiing power, has hosted many NCAA Championships including the 1961, 1972, 1988 and 2001 events. As in the past four years, the championships will feature a live webcast for both the Alpine and Nordic races.

The cross-country skiing events begin on Thursday (March 7) featuring the 5/10km Classic races, with the final events on Saturday including the 15/20km Freestyle Mass start races.
