Poland’s Cornelia Marek is First Positive Test of 2010 Olympic Games

March 11, 2010 (Vancouver, BC) – Cornelia Marek of Poland’s cross-country ski team has tested positive for EPO in her A-sample, reports the Polish Olympic Committee. The urine sample was taken February 25, after the 4×5km relay, where Poland placed 6th. Marek has withdrawn from the FIS XC World Cup in Drammen, NOR, but denies having knowingly used banned substances.
