January 22, 2008 (Canmore, Alberta) – The Alberta World Cup 2008 begins today in Canmore and here’s the schedule for the TV coverage planned during the competition with CBC Country Canada host, Jack Sasseville, and CBC commentary team of Scott Russell & Jack Sasseville. Each race day will be carried live on Country Canada, CBC’s digital service. Times noted are local MST. In advance of each race a 10-minute protocol that includes start lists, current WC individual standings, weather conditions will be aired.
All live broadcasts will be repeated on CBC CC digital service at 9:00 pm MST (22nd, 23rd, 25th, and 26th). A 2-3 hour highlights package will air on Feb. 16 on CBC conventional service. Live highlights will also be carried from the Sprint event on Saturday, January 26 by CBC. CBC will also be covering the events on their web, live-streaming from the race site at the times noted above @ www.cbc.ca
