September 09, 2013 (Bad Peterstal, Germany) – Italy’s Alessio Berlanda and Maria Magnusson of Sweden powered to gold medals and the FIS Rollerski World Champion 2013 titles in the 250m Sprint Free in Bad Peterstal, Germany.
More than 1,500 spectators watched the sprint competitions on September 5th as Magnusson delivered a great performance. Back from a maternity leave she edged out Anastasia Voronina (RUS) and stormed to the sprint victory. The Ladies B Final was controlled by the Russians as Ulyana Gavrilova won over compatriot Elena Ektova
The men’s final presented an Italian duel between Alessio Berlanda and Emanuele Sbaba but Berlanda was stronger in the 250m contest to take home the World Champion title. Ragnar Bragvin Andresen (NOR) claimed the bronze medal.Includes contributions by www.xc-ski.de.
