November 28, 2005 – The NST Selection Criteria for 2005/06 have been amended to reflect the new Canada Points List system that is being introduced this season. To view the amended document please click here:

Attention is drawn to the following significant changes from the original version of the Criteria (dated August 7, 2005):

Eligibility Standards Tables have been added as Sections 4.0 (for trips) and 5.0 (for teams). The eligibility standards are based on data produced through the new CPL system and on new International Performance Curves. The new IPC curves are included in the criteria document.
Because standards are being aligned with a new system, additional discretion is being provided in some instances to Selection Committees for the 2005/06 season for interpreting performances vis-a-vis these standards. This is the case for the criteria for the World Under-23/World Junior Championships trip, Team 2010, Team 2014 and the National Development Squad.

Criteria for selection to the National Development Squad have been added as Section 16.0. It is expected that AAP Development Cards will be available to some Development Squad athletes next year. Therefore, it was believed to be important to have criteria for this component of the NST program fully integrated into the criteria document.
Revised CPL lists for 2004/05 using the new CPL system will be posted shortly.
