February 15, 2003 – Hot on the heels of yesterday's U23 champs silver by Edmonton's Tara Whitten, two more Albertans had great results in a 5k classic World Cup in Asiago Italy. Beckie Scott finished second, 26 seconds behind Norway's Bente Skari and .1 seconds ahead of Savialova from Russia. Canmore's Sara Renner, had another excellent performance finishing 11th, only .2 seconds from the top 10.

In the Mens 10k classic, the top N. Americam was Justin Freeman in 63rd. Canada made it's return to Men's international World Cup racing action against a very competitive field and Rossland's George Grey finished 69th and Chris Jeffries was 81st. (58 and 70 FS point races).
