October 10, 2007 (Parsippany, New Jersey) – Avis Rent A Car System, LLC announced today that it has been named the official rental car company of the U. S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding. The alliance will benefit the national teams, the more than 30,000 member athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers as well as the 100,000-plus parents, supporters and devotees of the sport.

As the official rental car company through 2008, Avis will provide discounts and free day offers for USSA members and fans traveling to competitions throughout the United States and abroad. The program also features signage and giveaways at events in Colorado, including the Alpine World Cups, the men’s Charles Schwab Birds of Prey race week and the women’s Aspen Winternational, as well as the Chevrolet U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix.
