November 12, 2004 – After an exhilarating day skiing or snowboarding at
Silver Star Mountain Resort, what could be more relaxing or rejuvenating
than a pampering spa treatment? This winter, Silver Star is pleased to
announce that Beyond Wrapture Mind and Body Care is opening a new day spa
and retreat in the National Altitude Training Centre. The National
Altitude Training Centre is Silver Star’s world-class training facility,
used by some of Canada’s top Olympic athletes. The opening of this
highly-regarded spa will greatly enhance the quality of the guest
experience at Silver Star.

Kelowna-based Beyond Wrapture is owned and operated by Debra Pender, a
woman with a passion for the healing arts. She opened Kelowna’s first spa
full-service spa facility in 1994 in the Character House. Other Valley
locations soon followed, most notably at the four-star Manteo Resort, the
Coast Capri Hotel, and at the slopeside Chateau Big White. Cited in
numerous readers’ polls as the Okanagan’s favourite spa destination, Beyond
Wrapture’s expansion to Silver Star seems only natural, given the
athletic, health-conscious clientele that this internationally-recognized
four season destination resort attracts.

Eight specific Simply Spa Bliss Treatments will be offered, and can be
combined in an assortment of attractively-priced packages. Guests can look
forward to rejuvenating treatments such as Beyond Wrapture’s Sacred Art
Stone Massage, the Beyond Bliss Aroma Wrap with Shoulder, Neck, and Face
Massage, or the very unique Vinotherapy Massage which utilizes red or
white wine blended into a specially-prepared massage lotion. Traditional
Swedish and Deep Tissue sports massages are also available. A complete
array of personalized skin care and finishing touches – including Beyond
Wrapture’s famous Men’s Facials – will be offered as well. Such treatments
will greatly enhance that ‘healthy glow’ that a Silver Star winter
vacation is known for! Pender expects the Stone Massage will be a big
favourite for weary-limbed skiers winter adventurers.
