January 26, 2013 (Minneapolis, MN) – APU’s Rosie Brennan and Reese Hanneman served notice today at the 5/10km Classic Individual Start races in Wirth Park, Minneapolis, at round #5 of the USSA SuperTour Tour de Twin Cities – stage 4 of the mini-tour series. Brennan, the mini-Tour leader, nipped Jennie Bender (CXC) by a mere +0.6s for the victory with APU’s Kate Fitzgerald at 10.3s back in third.
Hanneman had a 5-second margin over Mike Sinnott (SVESF) in second as Torin Koos (Bridger Ski Foundation/Rossignol) claimed the final podium spot followed by Mark Iverson (APU) in 4th in close battle with his teammate Brenton White in 5th. Koos is now leading the mini-Tour series with Sinnott in second and Iverson in 3rd..
USSA SuperTour Tour de Twin Cities wraps up on Sunday with the final race in the mini-tour series a 10/15km FR pursuit-style competition. Next stop for the USSA SuperTour is Aspen, CO, on Feb. 9-10.
