December 08, 2017 (Hochfilzen, Austria) – Canada’s Nathan Smith delivered clean shooting en route to 19th in the men’s 10-kilometer Sprint at the BMW IBU World Cup 2 in Hochfilzen as Johannes Thingnes Boe of Norway was also perfect on the range to take the win.

I’m looking forward to starting in the thick of the pursuit tomorrow.”

The USA’s Clare Egan finished 35th to lead the North American women in the 7.5km Sprint won by Darya Domracheva of Belarus, one of the eight women to shoot clean on the range.

Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia finished second with one penalty at 22.1 seconds back while Italy’s Dorothea Wierer claimed the final podium spot, with one penalty, at 30.6 seconds back. Emma Lunder was the top Canadian in 42nd with one penalty at 2:03 behind.
