July 12, 2008 (Canmore, AB) – After a day filled with cold and wet conditions in Canmore, which left snow capped peaks across the Bow Valley, the NST tested their true fitness in a race against the clock in Canmore, AB today.

“This is the first uphill time trial on roller skis for the team this summer, so today was an assessment of each athlete’s fitness to date in comparison to previous time trial results,” explains NST Coach Eric de Nys. “Everyone gave a good, hard effort and we had some personal best’s within the field.”

All athletes were racing on the same skis for this test, so the playing field was even.

Up next for NST coaches Dave Wood and Arild Monsen along with the Senior World Cup Team is a three week training camp at the Snow Farm in New Zealand.
