December 23, 2008 – As most of the world’s population takes time off to celebrate the holidays, Canadian cross-country ski athletes have one thing on their mind; training and racing. The Senior World Cup Team will be competing in the 3rd edition of the Tour de Ski which kicks off on December 27 and the rest of the Canadian ski community will be gathering on January 2nd for the World Championships Trials.

FIS Tour de Ski Dec 27-Jan 4, 2009
Ivan Babikov, George Grey, Devon Kershaw and Sara Renner will be competing in the Tour for Canada. Saturday Dec 27th is the first day of competition with a 3/3.3 km prologue in Oberhof, Germany. For more information on the Tour de Ski including results click on www.tour-de-ski.com.

Haywood NorAm/Teck Cominco Sprint Series January 2-6, 2009
This event will also be utilized to select the Canadian World Championship teams for the seniors, U23 and juniors and will be taking place at the Canmore Nordic Centre in Canmore, Alberta. January 2 will be the Pursuit event. For more information please click here.
