CCC and FIS Racing License Applications – Deadlines Approaching

August 26, 2008 – It’s that time of year again! CCC racing licences are now available online or by mailing in the attached paper form. You must have a current racing licence or a Supporting Member Day licence to compete in any CCC sanctioned event in Juvenile or older age catgegories.

To own a FIS license you must be a member of Cross Country Canada. Your FIS license will not be processed until your CCC license is renewed or bought for the 2008-09 season. To apply or renew your CCC or FIS racing licenses please read the information below.

2008/09 FIS Licence Applications Due September 25, 2008

To apply for the FIS racing licence, please complete the FIS Declaration Form (including full date of birth – not just the year – and club you compete for) and forward it by mail or fax, together with your cheque or VISA or MasterCard number to the Cross Country Canada National Office. Don’t forget to included the expiry date, 3 digit card verification number (on back of the card) and address verification (street address and postal code).

The cost is $45.00 and the deadline to submit the form is September 25th, 2008.
This deadline is very important. Licence applications received after this date will have to be processed separately and a late charge will apply. Any FIS licences registered after January 1, 2009 will be processed at a cost of $100.00. If you require points to be added retroactively, this will cost you another $100.00.

NOTE: Any Junior skier who may make the criteria for a national team or international tour is encouraged to purchase a FIS licence at this time as it will be needed for international competition.

To own a FIS licence, you must be a member of Cross Country Canada. Your FIS licence will not be renewed until your CCC licence is renewed for the 2008-09 season.
During the ski season, please ensure that your FIS Licence number appears on final results of races so as to gain credit for FIS points and to be eligible for NorAm prize money in the NorAm Canada Cup Series.
