February 10, 2007 – Cross Country Canada regrets to announce that Neil Macdonald passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, February 4. Neil was the Treasurer and then ED of Cross Country Canada in the 80’s and early 90’s was also involved with Cross Country Ontario in SOD before moving to Ottawa. He had been ill for several years with Alzheimer’s.

In addition to his love of skiing, Neil enjoyed a very active lifestyle that included hiking, tennis and sailing. A celebration of Neil’s life will be announced at a later date for the spring. Neil is survived by his wife Audrey of 52 years and his children Shelagh and Ian.
