The CCSAA Annual Convention is an educational forum for resorts, clubs, parks, and trail systems across the continent engaged in cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Special focus will be lessons to be learned for existing cross-country centers from the newly constructed, world-class, 2010 Olympic venue for Nordic sports. Speakers will address: sustainability and environmental stewardship; business strategies for the social web; growing the cross-country market using guerilla marketing tactics; and modern grooming systems and grooming with less energy. In addition the convention features a trade expo and on-snow component for testing grooming vehicles and ski equipment. Ski clinics for personal skill improvement are on the agenda as well.

It’s estimated that over 100 professionals working at ski centers and parks are expected to attend the 3-day, 4-night convention. The registration package includes meals for the 3-day program. Day rates are also available. Lodging is at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler while the majority of presentations take place at Whistler Olympic Park.
