Colorado International Spring Series

provided by www.springseries.com

March 21, 2005 – This year’s Colorado
International Spring Series (CISS), Mar. 26 – Apr. 2, 2005, means excitement
for elite and recreational racers as well as spectators.

Presented by Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colo., six races, seven
parties and eight days of springtime skiing and partying will transpose the
Tabernash and Winter Park areas into a haven of hard bodies and Lycra. Elite
and recreational racers will challenge themselves and each other on a
variety of track and Criterium courses, all competing for a top place finish
as well as their share of cash and merchandise prizes.

Following are ten reasons CISS will mean end-of-the-season fun, challenge
and excitement for racers and spectators alike:

10. More parties than races! Okay, seven vs. six, but that means more deck-
time, tan time and overall fun.

9. $18,500 cash prizes for elite racers and $15,000 in merchandise for
citizens and juniors.

8. The Chipotle Fun Jersey. Where else can you win a leader’s jersey and
prizes for having the most fun?

7. Olympic caliber ski racers join the recreational competitors in all-out
competition.
If you’re Kris Freeman, Carl Swenson or the other US Team skiers, you’re
there to battle racers from 15 countries and 20 states for daily glory, the
Devil’s Thumb Overall Leader’s Jersey, and a share of the $18,500 cash.

6. CISS is also for weekend warriors and recreational skiers.
Joe and Jane Average can race their peers then watch your heroes from the
sun deck and chat with them at the social events. Thai and Brazilian Ski
Team racers will be traveling thousands of miles to try to qualify for their
respective Olympic teams, all the while working very hard not to finish last
(yes, last, not first!).

5. Bronzing time on the new deck at Devil’s Thumb Ranch’s new Broad Axe
Barn see it to believe it.

4. Races so good in 2004 they were named the Continental Cup Supertour
finals for 2005.

3. The Criterium race and party, Fri., Apr. 1st at Winter Park Resort.
Watch the field tackle the infamous double-jump where Andy Newell pulled a
back flip in 2004 with an Odell’s Easy Street Wheat in hand.

2. The CISS band. The famous all-skier CISS band has retooled for 2005
with a talented Norwegian front-liner. From country night to old school
favorites, each social event will carry a new theme and tune!

1. Eight days of sun and snow, seven days/nights of parties and six races,
offering something for everyone. Let the races begin!
