December 9, 2006 – On December 14, at 11:30 am, Cross Country Canada will be formally launching the CPR Ski Tournament program at a special event held at Canada Olympic Park. The Ski Tournament launch will include a press conference with Beckie Scott, Sara Renner and Milaine Theriault – our CPR spokespeople for the Ski Tournament program and an attempt at a Canadian and Guiness Book of Records mark for a group of skiers (108) to ski 100 meters on a 108 meter single set of skis.

The promotional event is being supported through the Development Program and Team skiers of Foothills Nordic Ski Club and the cooperation of the Keskinada Loppet and Norwegian Embassy who have loaned us these special skis.

With Olympic and World Cup medalists leading the way, I’m positive we’ll get the finish line in one piece, and perhaps be a part of history!
