July 04, 2012 – With less than two to go until the 2nd annual Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Race, NOW IS THE TIME to get registered.  Hosted by Telemark Resort in Cable, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 14, the event features three different distance options giving mountain bikers of all ages and ability levels a race or tour that they will enjoy.

Unlike many other mountain bike events, the Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Race courses will be non-technical following wide ski trails, fire-roads and two-track trails, making it suitable for those who are newer to the sport or who are less comfortable with “curvaceous” trails. For the younger riders and beginners, the 6 mile Sprint race utilizes a fun, but gentle course.  The 15 mile Half-Marathon and the showcase event, the 28.5 mile Marathon, both feature courses with challenging terrain which will test the fitness of even the best off-road cyclist! CXC Triple
The Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Race is also the 2nd leg in the CXC Triple. Modeled after the prestigious Norwegian Birkebeiner Trippel, the CXC Triple provides competitors with a year-round competition to crown the best outdoor-endurance athletes.  The American Birkebeiner ski race, Telemark Forest Mountain Bike Race, and Birkie Trail Run make up the CXC Triple.  In addition to the Marathon category, there are also a Half-Marathon, and Sprint Triple to allow athletes of all ages and ability levels to participate.
