November 19, 2005 – Who would have thought! After a dismal snow season, the Hollyburn Jackrabbits got off to an unexpextant early start to the season on Nov 13 as 40 members of their group were called to order on Cypress Mountain just outside of Vancouver.
“The early snow was a delight,” said Norm Laube, Club President. “The dryland group, who have been meeting every Thursday for dryland training, cashed in their Brooks running shoes for the more conventional flat boards. What a treat. We expect a full contingent to converge on the Sovereign Lake trails just before the FIS World Cup on December 10 to cheer on our Canadian athletes. We won’t be standing still!” continued Laube.
