November 26, 2003 – With a $500 facility grant from Cross Country Saskatchewan and by matching the grant with its own resources Edam Ski Club has made improvements to the Dulwich cross country ski trails, which will enhance public safety.

Utilizing used culvert generously donated by the R.M. of Turtle River No. 469, the club was able to install 16″ culvert across two small ravines along the Dulwich trails system. Both dips were too sharp for safe passage of equipment. At one location the culvert has allowed straightening of a hazardous downhill corner.

The project also included cutting down a steep side-hill where equipment and skiers were prone to side-slip.
