March 11, 2005 – The 2007 Canada Winter Games Host Society is pleased to welcome Enbridge Inc. of Calgary as an Official Supplier of the 2007 Games.

As part of its ongoing presence in Canada’s north, Enbridge will be supporting the Inuit and Dene Games, which are components of the Games’ Pan Northern initiative. The investment of $200,000 made by Enbridge complements their commitment to support community and cultural development.

“The addition of such a distinguished corporation as Enbridge to our growing list of sponsors speaks to the significance of the Canada Games movement,” said Host Society VP Sponsorship, Paul Flaherty. “We are very pleased and proud to be associated with Enbridge and look forward to a very productive partnership.”

“With over 2,700 athletes in 22 sports over a 14 day period, this event promises to be an extraordinary undertaking of planning, cooperation and community spirit and we are very proud to be a part of it,” said John Carruthers, Vice President Gas Development, Enbridge Inc.

Enbridge operates the world’s longest crude oil and liquid pipeline system in Canada and the United States. For over fifty years they have been a leading publicly traded energy transportation and distribution company, active in North America and internationally. Further to their involvement in the pipeline industry, Enbridge’s other business concerns include liquids marketing and international energy projects and a growing involvement in the natural gas transmission and midstream businesses through the Alliance and Vector pipelines and various U.S. assets that transport, gather, process and market natural gas and other petroleum products.

The Canada Winter Games will be held in Whitehorse, Yukon from February 24 to March 10, 2007. It is estimated that 3,500 athletes, coaches and officials will be participating in the Games, with over 4,500 volunteers supporting the 22 sporting events that will take place over the two-week period. These Games will be the first Canada Games ever to be held north of the 60th parallel and will mark the 40th anniversary of the Canada Games which were first held in 1967 and alternate every two years between summer and winter.
