March 11, 2005 – The 2007 Canada Winter Games Host Society is pleased to welcome Enbridge Inc. of Calgary as an Official Supplier of the 2007 Games.

As part of its ongoing presence in Canada’s north, Enbridge will be supporting the Inuit and Dene Games, which are components of the Games’ Pan Northern initiative. The investment of $200,000 made by Enbridge complements their commitment to support community and cultural development.

Enbridge operates the world’s longest crude oil and liquid pipeline system in Canada and the United States. The Canada Winter Games will be held in Whitehorse, Yukon from February 24 to March 10, 2007. It is estimated that 3,500 athletes, coaches and officials will be participating in the Games, with over 4,500 volunteers supporting the 22 sporting events that will take place over the two-week period. These Games will be the first Canada Games ever to be held north of the 60th parallel and will mark the 40th anniversary of the Canada Games which were first held in 1967 and alternate every two years between summer and winter.
