August 27, 2011 (Estonia) – The fallout surrounding the doping scandal involving Estonia’s top xc skier, Andrus Veerpalu, and his three-year ban continues as Tarvo Kuidma, the Estonian national team’s doctor, has decided to leave his post. In its ruling FIS supported the ban which was extended from two to three years claiming that the substance could not have entered Veerpalu accidentally and required specialist skills and assistance from medical professionals. – read more HERE.
