March 26, 2010 (Madawaska, ME) – Thirty-five coaches, including Olympians Kikkan Randall, Holly Brooks, Tracy Colliander and Haley Johnson, spent the day with over 120 young women from the St John Valley as Fast and Female by Best Buy came to Aroostook County on March 25. Started by Canadian Olympian and gold medalist, Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female seeks to “build the confidence and leadership skills in girls ages 9-19 through exciting sporting events.”

Scheduled during the rest day between the 2010 U.S. National XC Ski 30/50km events, and the final weekend of the SuperTour, this Fast and Female event featured many of the elite women competitors with girls from the county clubs of the Maine Winter Sports Center.
