September 28, 2010 – Will Sweetser, from Maine Winter Sports Center is leading a trip to Finland from Nov. 3-22. Athletes will have the opportunity to compete with world-class skiers in five early season races and earn valuable FIS points. This is a great way to gain international race experience and is ideal for any athlete who wants to return to the US and start their season with some fabulous Euro-race experience under their belt, and possible FIS and USSA points.

I am a 19-year-old Nordic ski racer who is extremely interested in going over to Finland and would really like to enjoy this experience with another female racer. Currently there are six great guys signed up, but everything from housing logistics to companionship would be much easier for everyone if more than one female is on this trip.

This excellent opportunity is being made possible by the generosity of the National Cross-Country Ski Education Foundation (NCCSEF) that is investing $5,000 in this trip to Finland.
