First International Carving & Nordic Ski Cup for the Blind & Partially Sighted

May 18, 2008 – The french-speaking Swiss group of blind and partially sighted skiers (GRSA) will celebrate its 40th birthday in 2009, 40 years of skiing in tandem. Since 1969 GRSA, which has been active in alpine ski, Nordic ski (classical and skating), cross-country ski, snowboard, ski racing, organizes every winter ski camps and weekends for adults and teenagers. Always looking for new sensations on snow and on the occasion of its 40th birthday, GRSA invites you to the international carving and nordic ski cup (sprint). GRSA would like to propose these two new disciplines, for a world first, to the worldwide skiers with vision impairments.

Every blind or partially sighted person who practices the alpine or the Nordic ski (classical or skating) in tandem can join this event by registering for one or two disciplines. We accept skiers of all levels because we wish to have to good time with as many people as possible. Of course, if you enjoy competing, you will appreciate those disciplines which combine speed and strategy.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the GRSA, an association for blind and partially sighted skiers of French-speaking Switzerland, you are invited to The First International Carving and Nordic Ski Cup for the blind and partially sighted. This event will take place:
