October 26, 2008 (Duntroon, ON) – It didn’t last long, but the first snow at Highlands Nordic had ski enthusiasts scrapping off their summer wax. The host site for the 2009 Canadian Nordic Championships hopes this early snow (Oct. 22) is a sign of a good winter to come. Enough snow fell that owner, Larry Sinclair, took the snowmobile out for perhaps the earliest grooming in Highlands’ history.
