August 15, 2013 (New Zealand) – Canada’s Brian McKeever had some strong results at the FIS Australia/New Zealand Cup Races at the Snow Farm on Aug. 10-11, the lead-up races to the Winter Games NZ that run from Aug. 15-28.

McKeever was second to Poland’s Maciej Kreczmer in the Men’s 15 km CL Mass Start on Aug. 10th with fellow Canuck Erik Carleton 3rd. The next day on Aug. 11th in the Men’s 10km Free McKeever challenged Kreczmer again with Russian studs Alexey Petukhove in 3rd and Anton Gafarov (Rus) 4th, followed by Carleton in 5th. Polish star, Justyna Kowalczyck, won both women’s races.
