FIS Cross-Country World Cup presented by Viessmann 2017/18 Calendar Confirmed

May 29, 2017 – The FIS Council held its Spring Meeting in Portoroz (SLO) on Sunday 28th May, 2017. The FIS Council confirmed the calendar of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup presented by Viessmann for the 2017/18 season.

Quick facts
– The FIS Cross-Country World Cup presented by Viessmann starts on 24th November 2017 and ends on 18th March 2018
– 29 competitions are scheduled in the calendar, out of which there are 11 sprint races
– 8 countries are going to host the FIS Cross-Country World Cup in the next season
– 3 stage events will be held next season: Ruka Triple, 12th edition of the Viessmann
FIS Tour de Ski and FIS Cross-Country World Cup Final
– FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, Goms-Kandersteg (SUI), 28.01-03.02.2018
– Olympic Winter Games, PyeongChang (KOR), 09.-25.02.2018

What is new
Czech Ski Association had to withdraw the application of Nove Mesto na Morave. Dresden, GER will host the sprint World Cup weekend after the FIS Tour de Ski, Planica (SLO) will host a distance World Cup weekend.
