FIS Rollerski World Cup Begins July 10 in Croatia

June 20, 2015 – In less than a month the FIS Rollerski World Cup is going to start in Oroslavje, (CRO).  This year’s World Cup series will feature three World Cup venues and the Rollerski World Championships in Val di Fiemme.

The Rollerski World Cup starts in Oroslavje on 10th July. After three competitions in Croatia, the series will move to Madona, LAT. In August Bad Peterstal the traditional Rollerski World Cup host in Germany will take over.

The highlight of the roller skiing season will take place in Val di Fiemme, from 24th – 27th September with the World Championships. Marcus Johansson of Sweden and Ksenia Konohova of Russia are the defending World Cup champions.

Ski Team Sweden Roll cup

FIS Rollerski World Cup is not the only competition series to take place this summer. Swedish Ski Association os going to organise the third edition of Ski Team Sweden Roll cup – the official Swedish Cup on roller skis.

The cup will get underway in Stockholm on 27th June. The program will continue as in previous years with competitions in Idre 7 -8th August, and the final 21-22nd  August in Trollhättan.

All events of the Ski Team Sweden Roll cup will be held both for senior and junior athletes and are open for all skiers with a valid FIS code.
The prize money  in the overall Cup is 75 000 SEK for seniors and juniors.
