Former Tour de France Winner Floyd Landis Confesses to Doping Most of his Career

Names Armstrong and Bruyneel

May 20, 2010 – We know many xc skiers are cyclists and this recent breaking news about Floyd Flandis, winner of the 2006 Tour de France is of interest to many readers. American Floyd Landis, who finished first at the 2006 Tour de France but failed a doping test for artificial testosterone and was stripped of his title and the yellow jersey, has confessed to doping for most of his cycling career according to an ESPN report.

Landis recently sent emails to USA Cycling and to the UCI implicating coaches and other cyclists and names Johan Bruyneel and Lance Armstrong in his allegations. Bruyneel was the manager of US Postal and Armstrong was the team captain there in 2002.

Landis claims the 2006 TdF test was inaccurate saying he used a human growth hormone at that time. He says that he started doping in 2002 while riding for the US Postal team and admits to using testosterone, human growth hormone and frequent blood transfusions, female hormones and a one-time experiment with insulin.
