provided by the USSA

September 26, 2006 – Global Rescue LLC, a provider of medical, aeromedical evacuation and security services, has been selected as an official supplier of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding.

“We are pleased that USSA has chosen Global Rescue as the official provider for these essential services,” said Global Rescue Chief Executive Officer Dan Richards. “It is a privilege to be able to support America’s best athletes and we are ready to deploy and provide emergency support any time and anywhere in the world.”

As a supplier of USSA, Global Rescue will provide aeromedical evacuation services to national members of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding who become ill or injured while training or competing. Their services, some of the finest medical and aeromedical services available, will assist Team doctors in expeditiously diagnosing, treating and transporting injured and ill athletes home to the States as soon as possible.

“By partnering with Global Rescue, we can augment our current services and insure USSA is providing the highest quality of medical services available to its athletes,” said USSA Chief Operating Officer Dick Coe. “Our elite athletes are training and competing with increased frequency in hard to reach mountain towns and obtaining the best care can be difficult. Working with Global Rescue will allow us to get them the resources they need, should they need them, no matter where they are in the world.”

In addition to servicing the national team athletes, Global Rescue will provide preferred pricing on Global Rescue membership to the more than 30,000 USSA members nationwide.
