April 24, 2009 (Ironwood, MI) – Gogebic Community College, located in the heart of “Big Snow Country” in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, recently announced the addition of a new men’s and women’s Nordic Ski Team for the 2009-2010 season. Early snow and some of the best trails in the midwest are two highlights for this new team located in Ironwood.

The team will race in Central Collegiate Ski Assocation meets throughout the upper midwest as well as three early season citizen races in its own back yard. According to Coach Will Andresen “We hope that this program will offer lots of time on snow for young skiers wanting to advance their skiing goals.”
