Great Glen Nordic 300: A True Test of Skiing Endurance

January 24, 2008 (Pinkham Notch, NH) — On February 10, 2008, Great Glen Trails hosts the Great Glen Nordic 300, 300 consecutive minutes of cross country ski racing. The Great Glen Nordic 300 is a 300-minute cross country ski race for solo racers or teams of two.

The goal is to ski as many laps of the 6-kilometer course as possible within the 300-minute time limit. Teams can be of mixed age and gender, and teams can use either skate or classic technique. Prizes will be awarded in each category.

In summer, Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center hosts the 24 Hours of Great Glen, a 24-hour mountain bike race; the Great Glen Nordic 300 is inspired by that event. The Great Glen Nordic 300 is open to anyone interested in trying his or her hand at a skiing endurance event, not just experienced racers.
