December 24, 2009 – Norway’s Ronny Andre Hafsaas won the World Cup Cross-Country kick off in Beitostoelen (NOR) where he dominated over 15km F individual start. The 24-year-old Hafsaas was trying to achieve similar results in biathlon however he now has decided to quit biathlon: “I decided yesterday that I’m going to focus on cross-country only,” said Ronny to NRK.

National team coach Morten Aa Djupvik welcomes Hafsas with open arms. “It is very good news for m,e” said Djupvik.
