May 20, 2003 – High Sierra Sport Company announced a one-year extension of its agreement with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) to supply travel bags to the U.S. Ski Team. The agreement calls for High Sierra to continue manufacturing customized backpacks, boot bags, ski bags and duffels through the 2003/2004 winter season.

High Sierra's U.S. Ski Team bags are durable and easy to carry and allow for convenient transport of each athlete's gear and clothes. High Sierra will also continue to produce and distribute a limited quantity of U.S. Ski Team bags for consumers, which are currently available at ski shops and luggage stores nationwide.

The following five models are available:

U.S. Ski Team Drop-Bottom Duffel (8841) – This duffel provides a generous main compartment and a full-length, zippered drop-bottom opening with garment hold-down straps. Additional features include a rolling cart system with locking telescope handle, hidden backpack straps, end pockets, a top, zippered pocket and molded grab handles. U.S. Ski Team Top-Load Duffel (8842) – This top-loading duffel is a great weekend bag. It offers a large main compartment, grab handles and an adjustable webbing shoulder strap. Approximate Retail: $99.99, Dimensions: 28″ x 21″ x 16″

U.S. Ski Team Double Ski Bag (8843) – The main compartment of this ski bag holds two pairs of skis up to 203cm in length and features a padded center to protect bindings. Compression straps at each end and long handle straps allow for easy carrying. Approximate Retail: $99.99, Dimensions: 80″ x 10.5″ x 6.5″

U.S. Ski Team Coaches Backpack (8844) – Large enough to carry a pair of ski boots, the Coaches Backpack has internal frame stays, side accessory pockets, mesh pocket on the lid, moisture-wicking back fabric, and adjustable, padded straps. Approximate Retail: $99.99, Dimensions: 22.5″ x 15″ x 8″

U.S. Ski Team Athlete Backpack (8845) – This backpack is a slightly smaller version of the above Coaches Backpack. Approximate Retail: $79.99, Dimensions: 21.5″ x 14.5″ x 8″
