Historical Results for Rottefella at 2008 Biathlon Worlds

February 20, 2008 – The 2008 IBU World Championships in Østersund, Sweden was a historical championship for Rottefella. Eighty-five percent of all gold medals were won on Rottefella bindings, and 73.3% of all medals medals were won on Rottefella.

On the first day of the championships Russia’s Maxim Tchoudov won the sprint, with Halvard Hanevold from Norway in second place. The king of biathlon Ole Einar Bjørndalen – 1 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze – and the “young new star” from Norway, Emil Hegle Svendsen – 2 gold and 1 silver – were the stars of this championship together with Madalena Neuner from Germany with three golds.
